The box shown is 11" x 20" (outer dimensions) with the max height at 10 -3/4" with the top. 1/4" hardware cloth is used for the bottom and secured with screws. That way the wire is easily replaceable when the time comes. The small wooden lip at the front of the box assists with ensuring the kits stay inside the box if mom jumps out while she is nursing . We do not use plywood for constructing our nesting boxes so there is no need to worry about chemicals! We do offer different sized boxes, price would be adjusted accordingly.
