Custom Furniture Example
A custom floating (wall hung) 6-drawer dresser made from hard maple and 3/4” maple plywood.
A custom TV frame (sized for a 65” TV) with built in LED puck lights (plug in type) made from 1/2” maple plywood and solid hard maple for the edges.
Thick custom dresser top (~2” thick) made with a walnut veneered plywood top and solid walnut edge banding.
All (3) furniture pieces are finished with Rubio Monocoat.
The TV frame has a removable back panel so in time, the (3) LED lights can be replaced if needed.
Each dresser drawer utilizes push to open/close drawer slides which allows for a clean, sleek look with no drawer handles on the face of each drawer sticking out.
Each drawer is edge banded along the top edges with solid hard maple and utilizes walnut dowels as part of the drawer construction, giving an accent to the drawers that match the walnut dresser top.
The dresser utilizes a French cleat system made from Baltic birch plywood. One half of the French cleat (wall piece) is bolted to (3) of the wall studs and the other piece of the French cleat system is mounted to the rear of the dresser. This type of mounting allows for easy installation/removal of the dresser if needed. A great mounting system for the custom dresser.
